The final stage of construction is now underway for a new primary school in Lviv, which RIEL is building in the Levandivka District as part of the thoughtfully planned Riel City neighbourhood and alongside the modern Morning and Evening residential developments. The school is scheduled to welcome its first pupils next year.
The school is designed to accommodate 300 pupils and, upon completion, will be transferred into municipal ownership and operated by the city.
For us, this is not simply the construction of another building. It is an investment in the future of the neighbourhood — a contribution to the development of a community where future generations of Lviv residents will live, learn, and grow.
The main construction works have now been completed. Interior finishing works are currently underway, with the next stage focusing on the implementation of bespoke design solutions in the classrooms and the protective shelter facilities.
The school building will offer more than 5,200 sq m of space, featuring two full storeys and a modern underground shelter designed to accommodate educational activities when required. The facility will include spacious classrooms equipped with high-quality ventilation systems, an assembly hall, a dining hall, a children’s swimming pool, and dedicated recreation areas.
The construction site was recently visited by Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi, who noted that the new school would represent an important step in the development of Levandivka’s educational infrastructure and help create additional learning opportunities for children in the district.
Particular attention has been paid to the quality of the project. As a development classified as a high-complexity facility, every stage of the design and construction process is subject to the required supervision and quality control procedures in accordance with current regulations.
The surrounding grounds will also feature a sports area, children’s recreational spaces, and all necessary infrastructure to ensure a comfortable environment for pupils and their families.
‘Developing social infrastructure is an important part of our work, both in Lviv and in Kyiv. Last year, for example, we completed the construction of a kindergarten in Lviv with an area of approximately 2,000 square metres, featuring extensive outdoor grounds and modern playgrounds. We are now completing a modern primary school, which will soon be transferred into municipal ownership. In addition, we plan to open four more kindergartens within our residential developments over the course of this year,’ said Rostyslav Melnyk, Founder of RIEL.
