In the previous parts, we described how the evacuation of houses was carried out, what and how the builders did, and what examinations were carried out in order to begin the restoration of houses. In the third and final publication, we will talk about our communication.
RIEL team
Immediately after the first arrival, we, RIEL REC, created operational headquarters to respond to all requests and solve problems: communication with experts, designers, authorities, defining tasks and solving other organizational issues. These issues were dealt with by 6-7 representatives of the company. Four more communicated directly with residents.
A group of specialists was singled out our legal service. From day one of the tragedy, they were fully involved in the work. We developed a plan of actions for us as a developer, for the manager of the residential complex and for the residents of the house: how to properly issue documents and how, where to sign them, in order to then claim compensation from the aggressor – the russian federation.
In particular, they worked out the judicial practice of claims that had previously been filed against the defendant – Russia. Copies of acts that had to be filled out, surveys that had to be completed in apartments and in the house were prepared and distributed to residents. Then we organized a general meeting with the residents of each house. They explained all the subtle aspects, talked about our action plan, the response protocol.
They also explained how to properly draw up documents for the court, so that they would be able to receive a refund provided for by the budget later.
In cooperation with the police, for the correct execution of the acts, we provided the presence of an investigator in the 7th house, who went around the occupied apartments with the residents on a walk-in walk-out basis, they filled out and signed these acts. As a result, people are in the possession of the materials to further advance criminal proceedings in order to compensate for the damage caused.
