Given the congestion of urban infrastructure, constant traffic jams and inefficiency of public transport, residential complexes implemented under the “city within a city” concept will be in demand in the future.
Rostyslav Melnyk, CEO of RIEL Real Estate Corporation expressed this opinion in a comment to Finance.ua:
“These are spaces that provide everything you need for life – from supermarkets and gyms to kindergartens, coworking spaces and even medical facilities. Such facilities allow to minimize the time spent on traveling around the city and offer maximum comfort.”

“It is ideal to choose new buildings with a well-thought-out security component, i.e., with bomb shelters or underground parking lots, places for installing uninterruptible power supply systems or generators, territory security and high-quality internal infrastructure. The energy efficiency of buildings is also becoming an important factor – take this into account when choosing,” he said.
Rostyslav Melnyk also explained that the general trend of buying a housing has changed significantly. In fact, intermediaries who sought to make money on the difference in the cost per square meter during resale have disappeared:
“Today people buy for themselves and the greatest demand is for small apartments – up to 65 m². In Lviv, for example, Riel City and Shengen are popular in this range, and Ok’Land and Bereh Dnipra in Kyiv,” says Rostyslav Melnyk.
Despite the general tension in the Ukrainian real estate market, RIEL Real Estate Corporation announced the launch of four major projects in Kyiv and Lviv in 2025.
