On October 4, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 1136, which amends the terms of the affordable mortgage lending program. From now on, the emphasis is on purchasing housing that is less than three years old or under construction.
“These innovations are an important step towards providing affordable housing for Ukrainians, especially for those looking for new opportunities in the real estate market. According to the new rules, citizens will be able to purchase:
- Housing less than 10 years old: internally displaced persons and their relatives in all regions where the program is implemented, as well as military personnel, law enforcement officers, doctors, teachers, scientists, veterans and their families – in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
- Housing up to 3 years old: military personnel, law enforcement officers, doctors, teachers, scientists, veterans and their families can take advantage of the program throughout the country, except for the specified regions.
- All other citizens who meet the conditions can also purchase a new building throughout Ukraine.
“The new terms of the program make investing in new buildings even more attractive. For our customers, this means a wider choice and better lending terms, which stimulates demand for new housing. These changes will come into force on November 4, 2024.
