New projects are planned to be implemented in Kyiv and Lviv. This was stated by Rostyslav Melnyk, CEO of RIEL Real Estate Corporation, in a commentary to Forbes: “RIEL will start building eight residential complexes in Lviv and Kyiv in January-February 2025.”

According to the NBU’s December report, the primary real estate market continues to face difficult times. This opinion is also shared by Rostyslav Melnyk. In particular, he believes that “the category of buyers who invested money at the beginning of construction and resold in the middle or at the end of the project has disappeared,” and also notes that due to the lack of qualified staff, “developers can extend the completion deadline for facilities.”
The day before, in an interview with Forbes Ukraine, Rostyslav Melnyk said that RIEL was negotiating with foreign financial institutions, including the EBRD, to implement new programs for the Ukrainian real estate market in the future.
