Real Estate Corporation RIEL has started construction of modern educational institution in Lviv. The First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andrii Moskalenko and Director General of Real Estate Corporation RIEL Rostyslav Melnyk gave the symbolic start of the construction. They laid a capsule in the foundation with a message to future generations.
“This is the first time in the history of our company that we are building a school. There are three schools in the area, but they are overloaded. Therefore, we are implementing a school together with a kindergarten here. Everything will be done taking into account the current safety needs,” said Rostyslav Melnyk, Director General of Real Estate Corporation RIEL.
The project envisages the construction of a two-storey building on the territory of Riel City RC with an area of more than 5,000 square metres, with a swimming pool and an underground shelter. The building will also have spacious classrooms, recreation areas, halls for events and sports. RIEL has never implemented a development of such complexity in terms of architectural and design solutions, and probably not in Ukraine either.
“We plan to build it within 20-25 months and transfer it to the municipal property of Lviv free of charge for children to study here. The building will have an approximate capacity of 270 children,” added Rostyslav Melnyk.
The concept of the premises was developed starting in 2018. However, after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the project was completely revised and improved to meet modern requirements. Nine experts from various fields worked on it meticulously, providing recommendations on security, inclusiveness, comfort and other aspects.
At the same time, RIEL is working on the following children’s institutions, the construction of which is part of its investment commitments to the city. These buildings have already been designed and planned, and their implementation is proceeding according to the company schedule..
