On 17 March, at the initiative of the Department of Territorial Control of Kyiv, the capital launched a spring bimonthly campaign for landscaping, gardening and improving the sanitary condition of the city, which will last until 15 May under the slogan ‘Acting Together to Change Kyiv’. Among others, RIEL Real Estate Corporation has become a business partner of this two-month campaign.
To make our city even cleaner and more comfortable, the businesses that support the campaign will provide the necessary resources to support the event, carry out landscaping, join the citywide clean-up and organise local clean-ups in the city cluttered areas.
“Do you want to make the city better? Start with yourself. It is only through joint efforts that a culture of responsibility for the space in which we live and in which our children grow up is formed. RIEL is always happy to join such projects that change the face of our city. Therefore, we thank the city authorities for the initiative and encourage citizens to actively participate in it,” commented Rostyslav Melnyk, CEO of RIEL Group.
The two-month campaign will include cleaning the territories, eliminating illegal landfills, greening the city and improving the sanitary conditions.
A social media contest ‘Together We Care – Together We Change will also be held to encourage residents, condominiums, public initiatives and businesses to take an active part in the city improvement. For two months, the hashtag #60дніввпорядкуванняміста up the city will be used on social media to highlight the renovated and improved areas. The winners will be determined and awarded based on the results of the competition - those who have made the most noticeable changes.
RIEL calls on all those who want to make changes to join the two-month campaign and work together to develop Kyiv and improve the urban space.
How to join?
- Organise a clean-up near your home, business or office. Take care of landscaping, plant greenery.
- Help with resources – provide garbage bags, cleaning equipment, seedlings or materials for the arrangement of urban spaces (parklets, benches, etc.).
- Spread the word, spread information about clean-ups and events on social media, involve your friends, share photos.
- Participate in the final event – the two-month campaign will end with a final event where the best initiatives will be awarded.
