The demand for ready-made projects with improved safety and comfort conditions has increased during the war in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by Rostyslav Melnyk, Director General of RIEL Real Estate Corporation, in a commentary to Minfin.ua.

“Buyers have started to pay more attention to such criteria as access to infrastructure, availability of bomb shelter or underground parking, generators, and autonomous heating systems. For example, this is why a lot of apartments were purchased in the Shengen Residential Complex (RIEL). Green areas, recreation space, and integration of modern technologies, as in the Riel City Residential Complex, are also of great importance,” he said. “The introduction of energy-efficient technologies and the creation of safe spaces for residents are becoming the standard for new buildings. We pay special attention to creating multifunctional areas for work, leisure and social interaction. Special attention is paid to safety – from shelters (underground parking lots) to autonomous life support systems.”
According to him, real estate prices continue to grow, including for Lviv real estate, which is in greater demand than real estate in other regions of the country.
“Since the beginning of 2023, Lviv real estate has risen in price by about 20%. The main reasons are the rise in the cost of construction materials, increased labor and security costs, as well as inflationary pressures. In the short term, a moderate price increase is possible, depending on economic conditions,” says Rostyslav Melnyk.
He also emphasized that KN Real Estate Corporation offers special conditions for the purchase of housing for doctors, military personnel, and IDPs. The company also provides an opportunity to buy an apartment on a preferential loan from the state or for housing certificates, as well as purchase by installments, promotions and discounts.
