
Alina Kovalova is an HR Director with over 15 years of experience in organisational transformation, building HR functions and developing human capital management systems within large businesses employing more than 10,000 people.
She has worked for companies delivering large-scale investment and construction projects, as well as in the food manufacturing and FMCG sectors. Her diverse professional background has enabled her to develop extensive expertise in organisational design, HR governance, performance management, leadership development, corporate culture transformation and the implementation of integrated HR systems.
Alina joined the RIEL Group of Companies as CHRO in July 2026. She is responsible for developing and implementing the HR strategy, building a systematic People function, developing the organisational structure, talent and performance management, shaping the corporate culture and developing HR analytics.
Her key areas of responsibility at RIEL include creating a modern HR architecture, developing talent attraction and retention systems, improving management effectiveness, implementing consistent standards for working with teams, and supporting organisational change in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
Alina holds an MBA, has undertaken further education and gained certifications in project and change management, and is also a certified coach.
Outside her professional career, Alina has a keen interest in art in its many forms. She is an active member of communities working to explore Ukrainian national and civic identity in the 21st century and to develop proposals aimed at strengthening and advancing it.
